Papa Johns promotes Chris Phylactou to Senior VP, International

He currently serves as Managing Director for the UK, Europe, and Canada.

Papa Johns International has promoted Chris Phylactou to Senior Vice President, International, effective immediately, as part of a broader reshuffle of its global leadership team.

Phylactou, who currently serves as Managing Director for the UK, Europe and Canada, rejoined Papa Johns in 2020 and has held several international leadership roles, including Vice President of International Supply Chain.

Before returning to the company, he spent eight years at TGI Fridays, where he was Managing Director for Europe and later led a consultancy serving clients including Wagamama and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Moreover, as part of the leadership changes, Chris Lyn-Sue, Senior Vice President and General Manager of International, has been appointed Global Chief Marketing Officer.

Lyn-Sue joined Papa Johns in 2022 after holding brand and marketing leadership roles at Popeyes, Restaurant Brands International, and Bacardi.

He also served as interim Chief Marketing Officer in 2024.

John Matter has been named Global Chief Development Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary, a newly created role.

Previously Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Interim Head of North American Development, Matter will oversee the company's global growth strategy, including international expansion, franchise development, and strategic partnerships.

He will retain his corporate securities responsibilities as Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Meanwhile, Caroline Miller Oyler has been appointed Chief Legal and Administrative Officer.

Formerly Chief Administrative Officer, she will resume oversight of the legal function whilst continuing to lead human resources and culture, risk, safety and security, internal audit, and facilities.

She will also remain Corporate Secretary.

The company also announced that Jenna Bromberg will depart Papa Johns.

She will remain in an advisory role through 28 August to support the leadership transition.
