Chopstix extends French reach with Évry-Courcouronnes opening
A third site is set to open at Westfield Rosny 2 later this month.
Chopstix has opened its second restaurant in France at the Le Spot Shopping Centre in Évry-Courcouronnes, south of Paris.
The opening follows the launch of its first French site in Paris’ Bastille district earlier this year.
The new restaurant serves Chopstix’s noodle dishes and other Pan-Asian menu items, extending the chain’s presence beyond central Paris into the Essonne region.
The company is developing its French business with QSRP, which is supporting its expansion in the market.
A third restaurant is due to open at Westfield Rosny 2, east of Paris, later this month.
Chopstix, which was founded more than 20 years ago, operates more than 170 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
It plans to open 10 restaurants in France this year, initially focusing on the Île-de-France region before expanding elsewhere in the country.
The company says it intends to use different restaurant formats depending on location and customer base as it builds its French estate.
The expansion is part of a broader international growth strategy targeting a larger presence in France and other European markets.
