Chaiiwala expands motorway footprint with new Sandbach launch
Sandbach is the first of six new container-format cafés planned at Roadchef sites this August.
Chaiiwala has opened an express-format café at Sandbach Southbound Services on the M6 as part of an expanded partnership with Roadchef.
The 320 sq ft site opened on 31 July 2026, following the launch of Chaiiwala’s first motorway outlet at Watford Gap Services in 2025.
The Sandbach café is the first of six new container-format sites planned at Roadchef service stations in August.
The openings are part of Chaiiwala’s wider expansion into high-traffic, on-the-go locations.
The new outlet builds on the Watford Gap trial with a larger container design, combining two units to increase capacity and provide more customer space.
The format also allows the Leicester-founded brand, established in 2015, to offer a wider menu throughout the day.
Motorway customers can buy Chaiiwala staples, including Karak Chaii, Wala Wraps, breakfast wraps, rice bowls, Bombay Toasties, desserts, and hot and cold drinks.
The company said the motorway expansion forms part of its longer-term plan to grow its presence to 500 locations globally over the next decade.
Chaiiwala currently operates across the UK and is targeting further growth in towns, cities, and travel hubs.
