Black Sheep Coffee lands at Gateshead’s Metrocentre
The store will have around 80 seats, including concourse seating.
Black Sheep Coffee will open a new store at Gateshead’s Metrocentre on 1 September 2026.
To mark the opening, the chain will offer coffees, including Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites, for £1 all day to customers ordering through its app.
The first 100 customers will also receive a Black Sheep Coffee tote bag.
The store will occupy a large unit in the Metrocentre’s Red Mall, with around 80 seats, including outdoor-style seating extending onto the concourse.
It will serve Black Sheep Coffee’s full menu, including its 100% speciality-grade Robusta coffee, ceremonial-grade matcha, smoothies, iced drinks, Norwegian waffles, all-day breakfast, and bakery items.
The Gateshead store will be run by Luke Underhill, James Pascoe, and Tara Oldfield through Timbertree Ltd.
It will be their third Black Sheep Coffee location, after stores in Norwich and Nottingham.
The opening brings Black Sheep Coffee to the North East’s largest retail destination, which draws shoppers and visitors from Newcastle, Sunderland, and surrounding areas.
