Auntie Anne’s to hit 50 UK and Ireland outlets with Eastbourne opening
It is progressing a pipeline of opportunities, with five locations under negotiation.
Auntie Anne’s will open its 50th store in the UK and Ireland at The Beacons shopping centre in Eastbourne on 12 September.
The opening marks the halfway point towards the brand’s target of 100 locations across the UK and Ireland by 2030.
Founded in 1988 from a single stand at a Pennsylvania farmer’s market, Auntie Anne’s entered the UK and Ireland in 2008.
The brand has since expanded through franchising, operating kiosks and stores in shopping centres and transport stations.
Over the past five years, the business has grown at a compound annual growth rate of 12%, opening 25 new sites across different formats. It now serves more than 2.2 million customers.
Recent openings include Frasers Plus Braehead in Glasgow and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin.
Auntie Anne’s has also expanded beyond shopping centres, opening its first container location at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
The format has since been introduced at Canterbury Station as the brand explores further locations across travel hubs and other non-traditional sites.
The Eastbourne opening follows this expansion across different formats and locations, with the business currently progressing a pipeline of opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
Five locations are currently under negotiation.
Auntie Anne’s has more than 2,000 locations across 30-plus countries globally.
